ROSAMOND - Kern County firefighters will begin inspecting around homes for compliance with brush fire safety regulations.

Mother, child ejected from car

LANCASTER - A woman and her young daughter suffered minor injuries Friday morning when they were thrown from her car as it overturned, officials said.
