ANTELOPE VALLEY: BRIEFLY : BOOK SALE TO AID PALMDALE LIBRARY.


PALMDALE - Used books from the Friends of the Palmdale City Library will go on sale on the first Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon at the Farmers Market at the Palmdale Plaza at Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling  and Avenue Q-6.

Proceeds of the book sale will benefit the library. For more information about the Farmers Market, call Dick Wells at (805) 285-9355.

Lancaster names worker of the year

LANCASTER - David Mulkey, public works public works

Mulkey was chosen because of his exceptional customer service skills, city officials said. Mulkey has been employed by the city since January 1995.

Mulkey has supported some of the city's largest projects, including the Lancaster Municipal Stadium and its parking lots and the city's annual California Poppy California poppy: see poppy.
