ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST The Angeles National Forest (ANF) was established by executive order on December 20, 1892 as the San Gabriel Timberland Reserve. It covers over 2,600 km² (650,000 acres) and is located in the San Gabriel Mountains of Los Angeles County, just north of the metropolitan area of Los  - Sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a man who was found shot to death in a parked car in an apparent suicide, sheriff's officials said.

Tim Williams, 18, pleaded no contest in Van Nuys Superior Court to assault with great bodily injury and admitted committing a hate crime in the December 1995 attack on Todd Jordan, who was confronted as he walked across the campus baseball field between classes.

Williams was one of three defendants in the case, all of whom were found unfit unfit
