LANCASTER - Sheriff's deputies are searching for two men who robbed a Lancaster bank Saturday morning, sheriff's officials said.

 officials, two men entered the Downey Savings branch in the 1000 block of Avenue J shortly before 10:50 a.m. and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the men fled in an unknown direction, sheriff's officials said.

This is the third time the bank has been robbed within a year.

LANCASTER - Arson is suspected in a structure fire that caused $70,000 in damages to a vacant house Friday evening, fire officials said.

The fire, reported at 5:15 p.m. in the 45100 block of Beech beech, common name for the Fagaceae, a family of trees and shrubs mainly of temperate and subtropical regions in the Northern Hemisphere.
