ANR PIPELINE MERGES CUSTOMER INFORMATION SYSTEM, FERC-MANDATED ELECTRONIC BULLETIN BOARD

DETROIT, Dec. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- ANR Pipeline Company today announced that it has merged the Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) mandated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) under Order 497 into its electronic customer information system -- ANR Xpedite.
The ANR Xpedite system can be used to access ANR's FERC Order 497 data, as well as other information currently available through the ANR Xpedite system, such as general bulletins, contracts, nominations and operational data.
Both systems will remain in service until March 31, 1993. After that, ANR's FERC-required bulletin board will be accessible only through ANR Xpedite.
"ANR Xpedite was designed to be a user-friendly customer information system, making it easy and convenient to obtain information and do business with ANR," said William P. Vititoe, president and chief executive officer of ANR Pipeline Company.
"Merging these two systems will assure that goal continues to be met, as well as bring ANR one step closer to conformance with the electronic bulletin board standards of Order 636."
To access ANR Xpedite, contact an ANR representative at 313-496-5000.
