Last year the cultural celebration was held at Jackie Robinson Park, as well as Lancaster City Park, because some wanted the event also to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Jackie Robinson Park. Organizers now plan to have the event at the Littlerock park every year.

Friends of Jackie Robinson Park provide academic training after school and a mentor program for kids in high school. Limited funding comes from grants, donations and the United Way.
