It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672. Rose Society will host its 11th anniversary Rose Show, ``Carousel of Roses,'' from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday near the fountain outside J.C. Penney Co. in Valencia Town Center. All rose growers are welcome to exhibit at the show, including novices and children. You do not have to be a member of the society to exhibit and there are no entry fees - just bring your roses and the society will furnish the vases. More than 500 ribbons and 70 crystal giftware prizes will be awarded, including eight large Waterford crystal Waterford Crystal is a trademark brand of crystal glassware produced in Waterford, Ireland, by the company Waterford Wedgwood plc., previously trading as Waterford Glass Ltd. trophies for the top roses. Two novices can win a crystal prize as well as a gift certificate from Green Thumb Nursery. Entries will be received from 7 to 9:30 on the morning of the show in the parking lot behind Penney's. His emphasis is on breeding roses with the character and fragrance of Old Garden Roses (Gallicas, Damasks, Alba roses, etc. English roses and a table celebrating the most fragrant roses will also be featured.
