Ralph and Anne Olsen of Springfield will celebrate their 70th anniversary with a March 16 reception at St. Mary Catholic Church in Eugene.
The couple were married March 13, 1943, in Everett, Wash. Their children and their daughter-in-law are Warren and Nancy Olsen of Eugene; and Kenneth Olsen of Springfield. Ralph Olsen served in the Navy during World War II. In 1954, he founded Eugene Canvas Products, which is still run by his son Warren. He was in the Navy Reserve for many years and is a member of the Elks Club.
Anne Olsen worked for Boeing in Vancouver, B.C., making aircraft during World War II. She was co-founder of Eugene Canvas Products. She is a member of the Elks Club and the Daughters of America. She is a past member of the St. Mary and St. Jude Catholic churches. Both are members of Nativity Nativity
