The couple were married Aug. 10, 1947, in Emmett, Idaho Emmett is a city in Gem County, Idaho, United States. The population was 5,490 at the 2000 census. It is the county seatGR6 and the only city in the county. The city was home to a Boise Cascade manufacturing facility which closed in 2001. . He served in the U.S. Army. He worked in the lumber lumber, term for timber that has been cut into boards for use as a building material. The major steps in producing lumber involve logging (the felling and preparation of timber for shipment to sawmills), sawing the logs into boards, grading the boards according to industry and, for 30 years, with the Eugene Fruit Growers, retiring in 1982.
