STACK; HARRY WALSH TWO elderly friends died together after a suspected gas leak in a house, it emerged yesterday. The bodies of Annie Gallagher, 84, and her 79-year-old life-long pal Sally McDyre were discovered in Glenties, Co Donegal, on Thursday evening by Mrs Gallagher's distraught daughter-in-law. She walks up and down the road every single day, rain, hail or shine." Ms Nichols said while Mrs Gallagher was less independent she was surrounded by a supportive family. She added: "She has a fantastic son that lives next door to her and daughters that live in areas around Donegal." A neighbour said yesterday: "Mrs Gallagher went to the bingo every week in Glenties. "She was a lovely woman with a lovely family. We're shocked." |
