Heartbroken Gemma Coleman said her family were pleased they "got justice for Pat and could start mourning". She took the stand to read a victim impact statement. Mrs Coleman said that Patrick, 34, was the second eldest of five children and "kind, loving, generous and silly and gave the best hugs." She said her son treated everyone as an equal and never judged others. She added that his attitude to life was "don't worry, be happy". The distraught dis·traught adj. 1. His children's lives - they will never have a father." Asked how she felt about the accused, she replied: "I don't have any feeling. He has a family too. It was a senseless sense·less adj. 1.
