But the Angels third baseman's postgame bout with diabetes made it tough to enjoy his heroic performance.

Hollins hit two home runs during the Angels' 5-3 victory over the Twins in front of 19,147 at Anaheim Stadium.

At least 20 minutes after the game, Hollins' cold locker-room seat was keeping the media company. After time continued to pass, Angels spokesman Bill Robertson Billy Henry "Bill" Robertson (born May 5, 1938) has been the Democratic mayor of the small city of Minden, the seat of Webster Parish in northwestern Louisiana, since his initial election on November 6, 1990.  said Hollins would not be able to take questions because of his ``diabetic condition.''

    Robertson said, ``(Hollins) told me, `Bill I just don't feel good.' ''

Hollins' mammoth game also included a 3-for-4 batting performance, two runs and a season-high four RBI RBI

The Angels entered the fourth with a 5-1 advantage, but starter Chuck Finley struggled to keep it intact. The left-hander allowed a one-out solo 430-foot homer to Ron Coomer that trimmed Anaheim's lead to 5-2. In the next inning, Finley loaded the bases with no outs, but escaped with giving up just one run when Chuck Knoblauch scored from third on a double play.

After the fifth, the 34-year-old was relieved of his duties. In five innings, Finley struck out six but allowed three runs.
