    Salmon has started the past two games in right field, and playing right earlier this year for three consecutive games eventually inflamed his left knee and he landed on the DL. He's also regularly treating an inflamed left shoulder and acknowledged early this month that it's been ``depressing'' thinking about next season with his current state of health.

    After coming off the disabled list June 8, Salmon had just 47 at-bats in the 30 games preceding the All-Star break and rarely played against right- handers.

    ``It would be great,'' he said. ``It would be nice to see some righties, be in there consistently enough to get my zone back against them. The more I get in there and do that, the better.''
