ANGELS NOTEBOOK: HUDLER STABLE AFTER RUPTURED ANEURYSM.Byline: Joe Haakenson Staff Writer OAKLAND - Rex Hudler, a former Angels player and currently a television analyst on Angels games for Channel 9 and Fox Sports Net, was hospitalized Saturday night after having a ruptured aneurysm aneurysm (ăn`y rĭzəm), localized dilatation of a blood vessel, particularly an artery, or the heart. and bleeding at the base of the brain. Hudler is listed in stable condition in a Bay Area hospital where he will continue to undergo tests to determine the cause. It has not been determined if Hudler will need surgery. Hudler, 40, was in an Oakland hotel Saturday preparing to broadcast Sunday's game between the Angels and A's when he began experiencing a severe headache. He had the hotel call paramedics, who rushed him to the hospital. Hudler, who was transferred from a hospital in Oakland to a hospital in Palo Alto, is resting comfortably, able to move his limbs and speak clearly. ``His spirits were incredible, especially for a guy who was still in a lot of pain,'' said Steve Physioc, Hudler's broadcast partner. ``His wife (Jennifer) flew in and his mom came in from Fresno. We were up talking until 1:30 a.m., and you know Rex, he was doing all the talking. So we had to leave so he could get some rest.
