ANGELS NOTEBOOK: GLAUS, MOLINA RETURN.

Byline: BEN VILLA Staff Writer

These days it seems like every time a new team comes into town, the Angels see a familiar face staring right back at them.

This past weekend, former Angels pitcher Jarrod Washburn Jarrod Michael Washburn (born August 13, 1974 in La Crosse, Wisconsin) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners. Drafted by the California Angels in the 2nd round of the 1995 amateur draft out of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Washburn won the final game  returned to Angel Stadium for the first time when the Seattle Mariners The Seattle Mariners are a professional baseball team based in Seattle, Washington. Tuesday, it was Troy Glaus Troy Edward Glaus (born August 3, 1976 in Tarzana, California) is a Major League Baseball player who plays third base for the Toronto Blue Jays. Previously, Glaus played with the Anaheim Angels (1998-2004) and the Arizona Diamondbacks (2005).  and Bengie Molina Benjamin José ("Bengie" or "Ben") Molina (born July 20 1974 in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico) is the starting catcher for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball. After being initially regarded as a "good glove, no hit" catcher, Molina has developed into one of the better .

``It's always exciting every time you get a chance to go back to your old house,'' Molina said. ``I can't wait to get back together with my brother Jose (Molina), my old teammates and the fans. But Toronto has been great.

``The coaches, my new teammates and everybody in the organization has really made me feel at home and it's made the transition easier.''

Glaus and Molina were integral parts of the 2002 Angels team that won the championship. Glaus was named the World Series MVP (Multimedia Video Processor) A high-speed DSP chip from Texas Instruments, introduced in 1994. Officially introduced as the TMS320C80, it combines RISC technology with the functionality of four DSPs on one chip. , and Molina was a two-time Gold Glove winner at catcher during his tenure.

When their contracts expired, both were allowed to leave as free agents for younger, cheaper prospects who have yet to pan out.

Last season, Glaus signed as a free agent with the Arizona Diamondbacks This article is about the baseball team. For other uses, see Diamondback.

``I have a lot of good memories playing here,'' Glaus said. ``It was nice to see some people I haven't seen in a long time, but once the first pitch is thrown, my job is to help the Blue Jays win.''

Tim Salmon said because they played the Blue Jays already this season in Toronto and saw Glaus and Molina, Tuesday's game would be business as usual.

``It might be for us, but from the fans' standpoint, it might be weird,'' Salmon said. ``It has to be kind of strange for them. They cheered for them, they loved them and it has to be tough. But that's the game today. Players change from team to team all the time.''

--Lingering pain: The sore left heel Garret Anderson was hobbled with during spring training is now playing havoc with the rest of his body, Angels manager Mike Scioscia said.

Anderson wasn't in the lineup because of a sore left hamstring that started to flare up to become suddenly heated or excited; to burst into a passion.
