    Jason Dickson (born March 30, 1973 in London, Ontario) is a Canadian baseball pitcher.'

    Dickson is a graduate of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M University. He plays for the Somerset Patriots and was drafted by the California Angels in the 6th round of the 1994 MLB Amateur
     began the 1997 season with a bang, throwing a five-hit shutout against the Boston Red Sox The Boston Red Sox are a professional baseball team based in Boston, Massachusetts. The Red Sox are a member and currently champions of the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball’s American League. From to the present, the Red Sox have played in Fenway Park.  in the second game of the season.

    Dickson began 1998 with a whimper.

    An All-Star in '97, Dickson didn't make it out of the fifth inning Sunday afternoon at Edison Field, leaving with his team trailing 6-1. The Angels never caught up and Dickson was left to contemplate what happened.

    Dickson gave up six runs and seven hits, including a home run to David Justice

       and a double to Jim Thome James Howard "Jim" Thome (born August 27, 1970 in Peoria, Illinois) is a Major League Baseball player who currently plays for the Chicago White Sox. His last name is pronounced TOH-me. . But what really hurt him were the five walks.

      ``Nobody can pitch from behind in the count, no matter how good you are,'' Dickson said.

      Facing the ace: Tonight the Angels get their first look at 1997 N.L. Cy Young Award winner Pedro Martinez as the Red Sox begin a three-game series against the Angels. The Angels have already faced some good pitchers in Andy Pettitte, David Wells, Dave Burba, Bartolo Colon and Charles Nagy.
