--Oh, the drama: In big, bold letters on the front page of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is a major U.S. daily newspaper serving Fort Worth and the western half of the North Texas area known as the Metroplex. Its area of domination is checked by its main rival, The Dallas Morning News  sports section, Tuesday morning's headline read ``Drama Club,'' accompanied by a large picture of Angels manager Mike Scioscia.

The story proclaimed Scioscia as one of the ``dirty dozen'' in sports, calling him and the others ``drama queens that beg for attention with outrageous statements and actions.'' Scioscia was one of four ``five-star'' drama queens, joined by Barry Bonds, Larry Brown and Terrell Owens.

--Finley's progress: Center fielder Steve Finley (strained shoulder) said he hopes to begin swinging a bat Friday, but he won't make predictions about whether he'll be able to come off the disabled list when he's eligible July 6.

``I'm going to make sure it's right,'' he said. ``I'm not going to rush back. If I'm ready then, the training staff will make the decision. Right now, we're playing great baseball, so it makes it easier to make sure I get it right.''

Finley said he had the same injury at the end of the 2003 season with Arizona but recovered fully with exercise and therapy.
