    --Outfield shuffle: The Angels' starting outfield Sunday had Jeff DaVanon Jeffrey Graham DaVanon (born December 8, 1973 in San Diego, California) is a Major League Baseball outfielder with the Oakland Athletics.

    DaVanon came up through the Oakland Athletics system before being traded to the Anaheim Angels as a minor-leaguer in 1999.
     and Gary Johnson, both minor leaguers to start the season, joining regular Garret Anderson. With the Red Sox throwing Pedro Martinez, it was not an easy assignment.

    But DaVanon went 2 for 3 with a homer and double against Martinez; Johnson went 1 for 2 with a single and a walk.

    --Injury update: Pitcher Aaron Sele, making his final rehab start in his recovery from offseason shoulder surgery, earned the victory for Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday after going six innings and giving up two runs and six hits with three strikeouts and two walks. He made 102 pitches.

    Sele will make his season debut for the Angels on Saturday in Toronto. ...

    Third baseman Troy Glaus was on the bench for the second game in a row because of an infection on the little toe of his left foot but is expected to return this week in Cleveland.
