ANGELS NOTEBOOK: BEING BACK IN MAJORS COMES WITH SOUR TASTE.Byline: Gabe Lacques Staff Writer OAKLAND - Jose Molina can't wait for the day his good fortune doesn't come at the expense of his older brother. But for the second time in as many years, Molina is in the big leagues thanks in large part to a hamstring injury hamstring injury Sports medicine A muscle injury of biceps femoris, seen in sprinters and runners, when a contracted muscle meets a lengthening force, overpowering intrinsic muscle resiliency Management RICE, NSAIDs, gradual ↑ of pain-free activity–eg, suffered by his brother, Bengie. The brothers were reunited on Thursday when Jose arrived from Triple-A Salt Lake, and he started at catcher against Oakland in the finale of the Angels' eight-game road trip. While Jose tried to temper his excitement because of his brother's plight, Bengie - who suffered a torn hamstring for the second consecutive season - made no attempt to hide his disgust with himself. ``I'm pretty frustrated right now,'' said Bengie, who missed 45 games with a right-hamstring tear last season. ``It's (expletive) embarrassing, I'm (expletive) letting the team down. I can not look anybody in the face here. That's how I feel. Every time you get hurt, it's not your fault. But what frustrates me is you do everything you can to (prevent) it, and it happens.'' On an up note, Molina said his partially torn left hamstring is nowhere near as severe an injury as last season's tear; if that's the case, he should miss no more than one month. During that stretch, Jose will again try to open up the organization's eyes. He hit .270 in 15 games with Anaheim last season, and was hitting .307 at Salt Lake before his recall. ``It's not like I'm glad it happened, but at the same time, I'm here,'' said Jose, who is 13 months younger than Bengie, who turns 28 on Saturday. ``I don't want to believe he's hurt, but he is, and I have to try to do the job he did and get some advice from him. It's a really bad situation. I want to be here for my skills, not because my brother or someone else got hurt.'' Jose Molina will share time with utility man Shawn Wooten William Shawn Wooten (born July 24, 1972 in Glendora, California), is a catcher who is currently with the New Orleans Zephyrs of the New York Mets organization. Previously, Wooten played with the Anaheim Angels (2000-03), the Philadelphia Phillies (2004), Boston Red Sox (2005) and and left- handed hitting Jorge Fabregas.
