He is the son of former Cardinal Ed Spiezio.  will not be hiding out in the bowels of Edison Field, waiting to pounce on Yankees pitcher Ted Lilly Theodore Roosevelt "Ted" Lilly (born January 4, 1976 in Lomita, California), is a left-handed starting pitcher for the Chicago Cubs. He bats and throws left-handed. The 6'1" Lilly attended Yosemite High School in Oakhurst, California, and Fresno City College. . ``No, none at all,'' Spiezio said. ``Why should there be? If I was upset, it would be more at Lilly than the team. The team didn't hit me, Lilly hit me. He got a six-game suspension, which was fine with me. I wouldn't have said anything about it if he hit me anywhere but my head.''

Any series with the Yankees is big, especially late in the season. But Spiezio said the defending World Series champions are no different than any other team this time of season.

``Right now, every single game is huge,'' Spiezio said. ``We know we're going to have to play good against everybody. We've still got games against Seattle and Oakland. You can't pump up more for the Yankees than other teams. Right now it's pretty much red alert for every single game.''
