ANAHEIM - Infielder Maicer Izturis Maicer Izturis (IPA pronunciation: [maɪsɛr ɪs'turɪs]) (born September 12, 1980 in Barquisimeto, Lara State, Venezuela) is a Major League Baseball infielder who plays for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.  made quite an impression on his new team in spring training, so much so that he was named the winner of the Fred Haney Fred Girard Haney (April 25, 1898 – November 9, 1977) was an American third baseman, manager, coach and executive in Major League Baseball. As a manager, he won two pennants and a world championship with the Milwaukee Braves and, as an executive, he was the first general  award, given to the club's top rookie during camp.
