ANGELES MORTGAGE INVESTMENT TRUST ADJOURNS SHAREHOLDER MEETING TO DEC. 15, 1993

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Angeles Mortgage Investment Trust (AMEX: ANM) adjourned its annual meeting of shareholders that was scheduled for Nov. 18, 1993, as a quorum of shares outstanding was not represented. Although there were a majority of Class A shares that were represented, the shareholder holding the Class B shares refused to vote, abstain from voting, or otherwise be represented. In the absence of the Class B shares being represented there must be at least 74 percent of the Class A shares represented at the annual meeting to constitute a quorum. The Trust has previously named the Class B shareholder, an affiliate of Insignia Financial Group Inc., as a defendant in connection with certain transactions it had with the Trust and the Trust's advisor, Angeles Funding Corp., in which the Trust believes the transactions were fraudulent.
The Trust has engaged a solicitor to assist in the solicitation of proxies to achieve a quorum. The annual shareholder is scheduled to reconvene at the offices of Katten Muchin Zavis & Weitzman, 1999 Avenue of the Stars, Suite 1400, Los Angeles, CA 90067, on Dec. 15, 1993, at 10 a.m.
