ANERGEN ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL CHANGE

 REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Dec. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Anergen Inc. (NASDAQ: ANRG) announced the resignation of Brian R. Clark, Ph.D., who is leaving the company to pursue other interests. Clark's resignation is effective Dec. 31, 1992. Clark, a founder of the company and vice president for Scientific Development, was responsible for assessing additional long-term technologies and coordinating Anergen's patent activities.
 Anergen's President and Chief Executive Officer John Fara, Ph.D., commented that "Dr. Clark's decision to leave the company is regrettable as well as understandable. His many contributions to the early development of Anergen are greatly appreciated. His entrepreneurial spirit is taking him in a new direction and we wish him well." Fara noted that this position would not be replaced.
