The largely residential city is home to many motion-picture and television personalities.  - Calling herself ``the luckiest woman in the world,'' Julie Andrews Dame Julie Elizabeth Andrews, DBE (born Julia Elizabeth Wells[1] on 1 October 1935[2]) is an award-winning English actress, singer, author and cultural icon.  added to her collection of awards Monday night when the Oscar winner was inducted into the Video Business Video Hall of Fame during a gala dinner at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

A film reel of such Andrews classics as ``The Sound of Music,'' ``Mary Poppins,'' ``Victor/Victoria'' and the more recent hits ``Princess Diaries'' and ``Shrek 2'' was screened before she was serenaded by the 50-plus members of the Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. For Andrews, the honor comes at a time that the performer is more prominent than ever in video stores with ``Shrek 2'' currently a big seller and the 40th Anniversary Edition of ``Mary Poppins'' due in stores Dec. 14.

`` 'Mary Poppins' was certainly one of those very special moments of magic,'' Andrews said. ``All of that was over 40 years ago, if you can believe it.''

Other current Andrews films new on DVD are ``Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement,'' ``Eloise at Christmastime,'' the 1957 television version of ``Cinderella'' and the Andrews-hosted ``Broadway: The American Musical,'' which recently aired on PBS PBS
