Blaser ed, pp. 527-538]. ) ("Andina" or "the Company") is very pleased to announce the first results from its 7,600 metre, Phase II Volcan Gold Project drilling program. Andina's 5,450 hectare hectare (hĕk`târ, –tär), abbr. ha, unit of area in the metric system, equal to 10,000 sq m, or about 2.47 acres. Volcan property is strategically located in the Maricunga Gold Belt, 170 kilometres east of Copiapo, Chile. Gold assays have been received from three reverse circulation ("RC") drill holes, one which targeted the East Zone and two which tested the previously undrilled Central Zone. At the East Zone, drill hole RVA-10 returned a 176 metre interval, starting from surface, that grading 1.256 grams per tonne gold. The interval increases the width and confirms the easterly strike extension of the gold mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. . At the Central Zone, located 600 metres west southwest of the East Zone, the first hole drilled into the mineralization, RCA-08, returned 104 metres grading 1.579 grams per tonne gold starting at 36 metres down hole. A second hole, RCA-02, a 300 metre step-out hole from RCA-08 drilled to intersect In a relational database, to match two files and produce a third file with records that are common in both. For example, intersecting an American file and a programmer file would yield American programmers. a 25 metre wide zone of mineralization on surface, returned 70 metres grading 0.634 grams per tonne gold commencing 200 metres down hole. "The first results from our Phase II drill program continue to support our view that the Volcan Property has the potential to host significant gold mineralization." said Carl Hansen, President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. of Andina. "The Central Zone drill results confirm that we have established another major target for our ongoing resource drilling campaign which we will aggressively drill. Also, the results confirm our belief that the East Zone gold mineralization has the potential to further expand."

At 176 metres, a fault was intersected and assay results below the fault were not of economic interest. Additional drilling is now planned in the area of RVA-10 to outline the boundaries of mineralization. In October 2005, Andina announced an initial inferred resources estimate for the East Zone of 12,300,000 million tonnes grading 1.04 gram per tonne gold giving 411,700 ounces of gold (see Andina's October 27, 2005 press release for further details). The focus of the Company's ongoing 3,500 metre East Zone drill program is twofold: one, to infill in·fill n. 1. The use of vacant land and property within a built-up area for further construction or development, especially as part of a neighborhood preservation or limited growth program. 2. drill areas where further information is necessary; and two, to expand the known inferred resource to depth and along strike. An updated resource estimate is planned for February 2006. Central Zone The Central Zone, which is the focus of an ongoing 2,750 metre drill program, was discovered by Andina during its Phase I exploration program completed in May 2005. RCA-08 (104 m grading 1.58 g/t gold) was drilled south into the core of the Central Zone confirming the gold mineralization previously reported from channel sampling from two trenches that returned 1.04 grams per tonne gold over 100 metres and 2.02 grams per tonne gold over 50 metres. Assay results from a diamond drill hole collared 160 metre south of RCA-08 and drilled to the north are pending. RCA-02 (70 m grading 0.634 g/t gold), drilled 300 metres west northwest Noun 1. west northwest - the compass point midway between west and northwest WNW compass point, point - any of 32 horizontal directions indicated on the card of a compass; "he checked the point on his compass" of hole RCA-08 cut the downdip projection of a surface trench from which channel sampling returned 25 metres grading 1.08 gram per tonne gold. The Central Zone drill results are very significant development for Andina in that they establish that the gold mineralization at the Central Zone, previously only known from surface channel sampling, extends to depth. The mineralization has been outlined over a strike length of approximately 500 metres and is open along strike in both directions and to depth. Drilling will continue with the goal of preparing a resource estimate for the Central Zone for February 2006. About Andina Minerals Inc. The reverse circulation chips from Andina's ongoing drill campaign are collected at the drill under the direct supervision of Andina staff. Samples of approximately 70 kilograms in weight are collected over 2 metre intervals. The samples are tagged, secured and transported to the Andina exploration camp and then to Andina's secure sample logging and preparation site near Copiapo, Chile. Chip samples are logged and riffle split twice to obtain a 15 kilogram kilogram, abbr. kg, fundamental unit of mass in the metric system, defined as the mass of the International Prototype Kilogram, a platinum-iridium cylinder kept at Sèvres, France, near Paris. sample for assay purposes.
