Volcan Phase II Exploration Budget Increased

In light of the discovery of the new gold zones combined with the continued excellent results from Andina's ongoing drilling program at the East and Central Zones, the Company's Board of Directors have approved a $1.5 million increase in the Phase II exploration budget to a total of $3.8 million. The majority of the increased budget will be directed towards additional drilling at the Central Zone and drilling at the newly discovered West and NW Zones.

An updated interim resource estimate is scheduled to be published by February 2006.

East Zone Drilling Update

The results of three reverse circulation drill holes from the East Zone are reported below in Table 1. The results were generally as anticipated. The three holes were drilled to test the margins of the East Zone gold mineralization in preparation for February's resource estimate.

In addition to the mineralized intervals noted in the table below, extensive envelopes of 0.3 to 0.5 gram per tonnes gold have been outlined surrounding the core +0.5 gram per tonne mineralization. For example, immediately south of the 26 metre interval grading 1.04 gram per tonne gold cut in RVA-08, a 34 metre lower grade envelope of 0.46 gram per tonne was intersected. Also, between the upper two +0.5 gram per tonne intervals in hole RVA-06, a 34 metre interval grading 0.42 gram per tonne was cut which if combined with the two higher grade intervals would result in an intersection of 122 metres grading 0.80 grams per tonne gold. The presence of a lower grade envelope surrounding the East Zone would be beneficial if an open pit mining plan were considered.

About Andina Minerals Inc.

Andina is an Americas focused exploration company with a portfolio of precious metals Precious Metals

exploration projects in Chile and Mexico which is dedicated to maximizing the value of its exploration assets through a commitment to fiscally responsible exploration. The Company is earning a 100% interest in the Volcan project by undertaking certain work commitments and making a series of escalating payments ending in 2008.

Under the guidelines of National Instrument 43-101, the qualified person for the Volcan exploration project is Eduardo Margi, Ph.D. in mining engineering (Witwatersrand) and a Fellow of the SAIMM SAIMM South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy

with over 30 years of industry experience. Mr. Margi has approved the exploration program and established the quality assurance and quality control program to ensure the accuracy of the collection and analysis of samples.

The reverse circulation ("RC") chips from Andina's ongoing drill campaign are collected at the drill under the direct supervision of Andina staff. RC samples of approximately 70 kilograms in weight are collected over 2 metre intervals. Both the RC samples and drill core are appropriately tagged, secured and transported to the Andina exploration camp and then to Andina's secure sample logging and preparation site near Copiapo, Chile. RC chip samples are riffle split twice to obtain a 15 kilogram kilogram, abbr. kg, fundamental unit of mass in the metric system, defined as the mass of the International Prototype Kilogram, a platinum-iridium cylinder kept at Sèvres, France, near Paris.  sample for assay purposes. Representative chips are collected from each sample for logging purposes. Drill core is logged, marked at two metre intervals for sampling and split longitudinally with a diamond drill saw. One half of the core is bagged and sample tags attached and the second half of the core is returned to the core boxes. All samples are appropriately tagged and securely stored prior to shipping to Asesoria Minera Geoanalitica Ltda.'s ("Geoanalitica") laboratory in La Serena, Chile La Serena ("the serene one") is the second oldest city in Chile. The city, located 471 km north of Santiago, has a population of 147,815, according to the 2002 census. There are also 12,333 inhabitants of the immediately surrounding countryside. .

Samples are processed and analyzed for gold using fire assay techniques with atomic absorption finish. Samples which returned gold values greater than 1.00 gram per tonne are re-analyzed by Geoanalitica. using fire assay techniques with a gravimetric gravimetric /grav·i·met·ric/ (grav?i-me´trik) pertaining to measurement by weight; performed by weight, as a gravimetric method of drug assay.
