Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. at its Volcan gold project located 160 kilometres east of Copaipo, Chile. As previously reported (Andina April 26, 2005 press release), two bulldozer trenches spaced approximately 125 metres apart had exposed a wide zone of intensely silicified si·lic·i·fy v. si·lic·i·fied, si·lic·i·fy·ing, si·lic·i·fies v.tr. To convert into or impregnate with silica. v.intr. To become converted into or impregnated with silica. dacitic Adj. 1. dacitic - relating to or consisting of dacite; "dacitic magma is highly viscous" and fault breccias in the Dorado Central area. A further two trenches had been cut along a road between the Dorado East and Dorado Central zones. Significant channel sample assay results from the trenches are summarized below in Table 1 and a complete summary of all assay composites are attached in Table 2. Maps of the recent sampling results can be viewed on the Company's website at www.andinaminerals.com. The Central Zone has been outlined over a strike length in excess of 400 metres and varies in width from 50 to 100 metres. The mineralization is open along strike in both directions. Approximately 150 metres northwest of trench TR-C 3770, a reverse circulation ("RC") drill hole, drilled during the mid-1990's to a depth of 88 metres, cut two zones of gold mineralization above a 0.7 grams per tonne ("g/t") cut-off: 0.75 g/t gold over 42 metres and 0.70 g/t over 22 metres which were separated by 0.28 g/t over 8 metres. This RC drill hole will be twinned by a diamond drill hole. "We are very excited about the discovery of the Central Zone, the second major gold zone discovered within our Volcan property," said Mr. Carl Hansen, President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. of Andina. "The Central Zone significantly expands the potential of the Volcan project and we still have a number of very encouraging additional gold targets that we have just begun to explore." Andina commenced exploring Volcan at the beginning of February, 2005. Channel sampling has outlined a halo of +0.5 g/t gold material surrounding the Central Zone including 0.62 g/t over 25 metres and 0.57 g/t of 25 metres. To the immediate north of the main Central Zone mineralization, channel sampling has returned significant intervals of sub 0.5 g/t gold confirming the presence of a major gold mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. The Company is presently diamond drilling Diamond Drilling is a highly specialized industry used for mineral exploration around the world. Most commonly using wireline and core bits with diamond encrusted matrix. To drill holes to max depths of twelve thousand feet, for the recovery of core used in verifying mineral the Dorado East Zone in preparation for a resource estimation anticipated for completion during the second half of 2005. Drilling is progressing slower than expected as a result of delays caused by severe early winter storms. All exploration activities will be suspended for the winter when weather conditions make further work unsafe. Typically the Chilean spring drilling season begins in late September. Under the guidelines of National Instrument 43-101, the qualified person for the Volcan exploration project is Eduardo Margi, Ph.D. in mining engineering (Witswatersrand) and a Fellow of the SAIMM SAIMM South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy SAIMM Systems Applications International Mesoscale Model SAIMM South African Infrastructure Management Manual with over 30 years experience. Samples, varying in weight from four to six kilograms, were collected over five metre channels along the length of the bulldozer trenches.Samples were processed and analyzed for gold at the ALS Als (äls), Ger. The rate of duplicate sample collection is being increased to 5%. The ALS Chemex quality system complies with the requirements of the international standards ISO (1) See ISO speed.
