Prior to his involvement with Goldcorp, Mr. Laing was General Counsel, Vice President and Corporate Secretary for TVX TVx Target Vertex

Mr. Laing replaces Mr. McBride who resigned today from the Company's Board of Directors. "On behalf of the Board of Directors and stakeholders of Andina, I would like to thank Mr. McBride for his assistance and stewardship during the merger and transition from CastleRock to Andina Minerals", said Mr. Hansen. Mr. McBride was a founding shareholder of CastleRock Resources Inc. and had assumed the role of Director, President and CEO of CastleRock and subsequently Director of Andina to facilitate the merger of the two companies. Mr. McBride remains a significant shareholder of Andina.

Further, Andina announces that it has granted an aggregate of 100,000 options to directors of the Company. The options are exercisable at $0.70 expiring on August 23, 2010.
