ANDA NETWORKS COMPLETES TIRKS SYSTEM OSMINE COMPLIANCE PROCESS.

ANDA Networks, a provider of carrier-class access/gateway solutions for circuit-and-packet-switched public networks, has successfully completed the Telcordia TIRKS System compatibility analysis and testing process, which is part of the OSMINE process for its UAP 2000 system.

OSMINE (Operations Systems Modifications for the Integration of Network Elements) is a process that analyzes equipment manufacturers' network elements, or products, and operating systems to ensure that they can be integrated with Bellcore-developed operations systems.

In addition, the OSMINE process helps enable equipment used by Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs) to be managed effectively from the same software program -- especially when it comes to operations system flow-through support for the provisioning of services to RBOC customers on an automated basis.

"This is a significant milestone for us," said Nick Shahiar, senior manager of North American product marketing for ANDA Networks. "It sends a message to all RBOC purchasers of our UAP 2000 that this carrier-class, multi-service access and voice gateway platform will interoperate with their large embedded base of operations systems when it comes to critical TIRKS System requirements."

TIRKS (Trunks Integrated Records Keeping System) supports the total network provisioning process for special service circuits, message trunks, and carrier circuits. As a mechanized record-keeping system, TIRKS provides storage or data required in the trunks and special services operations dealing with facility and equipment inventory management as well as support, assignment, scheduling and planning.

ANDA Networks started the OSMINE process with Telcordia Technologies, Inc., in June of 2001.

ANDA Networks is also nearing completion of the separate OSMINE analysis process for the UAP 2000 with the Telcordia NMA system to ensure RBOC compatibility when it comes to providing essential network monitoring and surveillance operations support. The NMA compliance analysis process on the UAP 2000 will be completed during the first quarter of 2002.
