James Mangold's new film ``Identity'' is a contemporary spin on Agatha Christie's much-loved novel ``Ten Little Indians.'' The novel itself has been filmed numerous times for film and TV. The adaptations include:

``And Then There Were None'' (1945): A close adaptation of Christie's novel (except for an altered ending), starring Barry Fitzgerald Barry Fitzgerald (March 10, 1888 – January 14, 1961) was an Academy Award winning Irish actor. Born William Joseph Shields in Dublin, Ireland. He worked as a civil servant, and joined the Abbey Theatre. , Walter Huston Walter Huston (April 6, 1884 – April 7, 1950) was an Academy Award-winning Canadian-born American actor.

Born Walter Houghston in Toronto, Ontario to an Irish Anglican father and a Scottish mother, he began his Broadway career in 1924, he achieved fame in
, June Duprez and Judith Anderson.

``Ten Little Indians'' (1965): Set in a Swiss Chalet

She was born in London. Throughout her career, she appeared with many of the top British male comedy stars from the period including
 and Wilfrid Hyde-White. The film was adapted from Dudley Nichols' 1945 screenplay. Christopher Lee supplies the ghostly voice of the host, Mr. Unknown.

``And Then There Were None'' (1974): Richard Attenborough, Gert Frobe, Oliver Reed and Elke Sommers are among the cast. The setting is an Iranian hotel. The voice of the unseen host on the tape belongs to Orson Welles.

``Ten Little Indians'' (1989): The 10 in question start biting the dust while on safari. Donald Pleasence and Frank Stallone star. Herbert Lom, who turned up in the 1974 version, plays a different character here.
