Angela Diaz, 10, knows that Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus.

When asked what Jesus does when he comes back, Angela looked out a window and said, ``He makes the rain.''

She was one of about 800 people, including 500 children, who attended the annual Easter egg An undocumented function hidden in software that may or may not be sanctioned by management. Easter Eggs are secret "goodies" found by word of mouth or accident. They are also used in video games, movies, TV commercials, DVDs, CDs, CD-ROMs and every so often in hardware.  hunt at the Arroyo Vista Community Park center Saturday.

, who generated so much enthusiasm that children were lined up through the door of an activities room and well into the lobby.

Tate Kaplan, 6, said he anticipates finding a lot of candy left for him by the kindly rabbit in his back yard.

The event, sponsored by the city of Moorpark and the local Kiwanis Club, included egg hunts for five age groups.

The parents of two children with special needs opted to enter their youngsters in the larger hunts rather than one offered specifically for them.

Children who found plastic eggs exchanged them for gifts.

Jason Tai, 10, said in past years he dyed real eggs and placed them in the refrigerator, only to find them gone the next morning.

``Maybe it's the Easter bunny,'' he said.

Other highlights included a petting zoo and arts and crafts arts and crafts, term for that general field of applied design in which hand fabrication is dominant. The term was coined in England in the late 19th cent. as a label for the then-current movement directed toward the revivifying of the decorative arts. .

``It's a nice community event,'' said Stephanie Shaw, the city's recreation coordinator. ``It's been going on for years, so it's kind of a traditional thing as well.''
