Business Editors

WARREN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2000

In response to the growing demand for the Company's Wireless and Broadband communications products, ANADIGICS has announced plans to expand its state-of-the-art 6-inch production facility. The Company's expansion plan includes the development of additional Class 10 cleanroom space and equipment installation within its existing InGaP HBT (indium gallium phosphide Indium gallium phosphide (InGaP) is a semiconductor composed of indium, gallium and phosphorus. It is used in high-power and high-frequency electronics because of its superior electron velocity with respect to the more common semiconductors silicon and gallium arsenide.  heterojunction bipolar transistor The heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) is an improvement of the bipolar junction transistor (BJT) that can handle signals of very high frequencies up to several hundred GHz. It is common in modern ultrafast circuits, mostly radio-frequency (RF) systems. ), PHEMT See FET.  (pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor), and MESFET See FET.  (metal semiconductor field effect transistor See FET.
