They are a Class-A Advanced team in the California League, and are a farm team of the Boston Red Sox.  games.

The minor-league baseball team will host its third annual Aerospace Appreciation Night on Aug. 18. The first 1,500 fans will get a Yeager bobblehead doll, and fireworks will follow the game.

The annual event will be dedicated to telling fans about the 83-year-old Yeager's accomplishments, including breaking the sound barrier in 1947 at what is now Edwards Air Force Base Edwards Air Force Base, U.S. military installation, 301,000 acres (121,805 hectares), S Calif., NE of Lancaster; est. 1933. It is one of the largest air force bases in the United States and has the world's longest runway. , as well as informing the community about his personal foundation, the General Chuck Yeager Foundation.

Post-game fireworks shows are also scheduled for the April 14 opening home game at Clear Channel Stadium, May 19 during Military Appreciation Weekend, June 2 during the Endless Summer kickoff, July 3 and Aug. 5.

A new promotion for 2006 is Picture Day on July 1, when the first 1,500 fans will receive a free picture frame and 500 disposable cameras will be given to families who will go onto the field before the game to take photos with their favorite JetHawks players and coaches.

One annual highlight of the season returns when Military Appreciation Weekend takes place on May 19-21 with fireworks on Friday, a camouflage cap giveaway on Saturday and a camouflage baseball giveaway on Sunday.

Tickets for all promotional game dates are available now with the purchase of a JetHawks ticket package or group outing. Individual game tickets for JetHawks games will go on sale March 25.

Returning promotions include a pre-game Happy Hour offering half-price draft beer and Weenie 1. weenie - [on BBSes] Any of a species of luser resembling a less amusing version of BIFF that infests many BBSes. The typical weenie is a teenage boy with poor social skills travelling under a grandiose handle derived from fantasy or heavy-metal rock lyrics.  Wednesdays, when fans can buy $1 Hebrew National Hot Dogs.

In addition, Home Run Fireworks, presented by First City Credit Union, will be featured at all Friday All Friday is a Norwegian punk rock band formed in late 2003. Its members include Jay-Rock (born Johan Larsson), guitar and lead vocals, Knockster (born Knut Oscar Nymo), bass guitar and backing vocals, El-Thoro  and Saturday home games, in addition to select games throughout the season.

The JetHawks open their 11th season in the California League on April 6 at Lake Elsinore before returning to Clear Channel Stadium for the home opener on April 14 versus Rancho Cucamonga. Season tickets and miniplan packages are currently available for the 2006 season and can be ordered by calling the JetHawks at (661) 726-5400.
