AMTECH ANNOUNCES FIRST-QUARTER RESULTS; STRONG BOOKINGS REPORTED.


DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 22, 1996--Amtech Corporation (NASDAQ-AMTC) today reported operating results for the first quarter ended March 31, 1996.

Revenues for the first quarter were $28,276,000, up 103 percent from the $13,395,000 reported for the same period in 1995. The Company reported net income of $353,000 ($0.02 per share) in the quarter, which included a previously announced pre-tax pre-tax adjanterior al impuesto
