AMS Tech Unveils Notebooks Powered by 233MHz Intel Pentium Processor; Company Extends Product Line With TravelPro 2040CX and 1970CT.


IRWINDALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 29, 1997--Once again demonstrating its technology leadership in mobile computing Using a computing device while in transit. Mobile computing implies wireless transmission, but wireless transmission does not necessarily imply mobile computing. Fixed wireless applications use satellites, radio systems and lasers to transmit between permanent objects such as buildings , AMS AMS - Andrew Message System  Tech Friday announced the introduction of TravelPro 2040CX and TravelPro 1970CT, its first notebooks powered by the 233MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  Intel Pentium Processor with MMX technology.

Both products have a 3.1GB hard disk, an internal 33.6 fax/modem, an internal 20x CD-ROM CD-ROM: see compact disc.
