AMS Services Extends Industry Leadership with Powerful New Analysis and Reporting Service.

BOTHELL, Wash. -- AMS Performance Analyzer provides business intelligence that enables agency principals and senior decision makers to unlock the power of their agency data.

AMS, the leading provider of specialized software, services and information for the property and casualty insurance industry, today announced Performance Analyzer, a robust business intelligence (BI) tool developed specifically to meet the unique needs of insurance agencies. Performance Analyzer allows agencies of all sizes to readily assess their business performance and make quick, informed decisions that improve their financial performance. Performance Analyzer delivers a highly intuitive, graphical interface that allows easy access to rich agency data.

The increasing complexity and continuing consolidation of the insurance agency sector has left many agencies with little systematic insight into the health of their business. Overrun with disparate systems and operational silos, agencies have struggled to consolidate their data into a format that enables them to readily assess the health of their business units and their overall corporate performance. For many agencies, this has resulted in manually intensive processes that lead to only limited insight into business performance.

AMS Performance Analyzer breaks the back of this data logjam by enabling agencies to view individual sub-agency performance, consolidate corporate-wide statistics, browse "briefing book" report templates, and easily create reports that leverage policy, commission, invoice, and carrier information. The intuitive report formats enable users to identify trends and adjust behaviors accordingly. And because the data models are pre-configured, reports can be generated and tweaked in seconds without IT assistance.

"Performance Analyzer will dramatically improve our ability to view, sort and analyze the data in our agency management system for decision making," said Susan J. Brown, vice president/controller, Stahl & Associates Insurance Inc. "We are able to see the big picture clearly and quickly which will greatly enhance our ability to analyze the agency book of business, company volume, and production goals. Performance Analyzer is the tool that will unlock the power of our agency data and allow us to use that data to increase our effectiveness and profitability."

"Our goal is to empower customers to grow their business and increase profitability by providing easy access to data on agency performance," said Euan Menzies, president and CEO of AMS. "By delivering Performance Analyzer, AMS is expanding the success of our customers by providing easy-to-use, yet sophisticated business analysis tools that have been previously inaccessible to the average insurance agency."

With Performance Analyzer, decision-makers at all levels of the organization can analyze extensive agency data to make decisions and drive improved business performance. They will be able to answer important questions quickly and easily such as: what is my book-of-business value today, what has been the net growth over time, which of my accounts are profitable and what percentage of my business is new versus rewrite or renewal?

"Until now, BI software has been too complex and costly for decision makers in agencies to use every day to do their jobs," said Caroline Heckathorn, product manager for AMS. "We're changing that situation with Performance Analyzer."

Performance Analyzer is currently available in Beta for AMS 360 Online users and will be available for general use later this month. It will be available for Sagitta and AfW Online customers later this year.
