AMRI Announces Resignation of John Fallone; Donald Kuhla, Ph.D. Named Organichem President.

ALBANY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 2003

Albany Molecular Research, Inc. (Nasdaq:AMRI) announced today that John Fallone has tendered his resignation from his position as CEO and president of Organichem Corporation. During the next few months, Mr. Fallone will continue to work and assist with the integration process to facilitate an efficient and orderly transition of responsibility.

Concurrently, AMRI has appointed Executive Vice President Donald E. Kuhla, Ph.D. to serve as president of Organichem.

In his resignation, Fallone cited a desire to spend more time with his family and a desire to pursue other interests in the community, possibly through charitable work and other endeavors. Fallone also stated that he truly enjoyed being an entrepreneur and may pursue similar opportunities in the future.

Fallone has served as president of Organichem since December 1999, when the company was formed through a management buyout facilitated by an AMRI investment of the Nycomed Amersham chemical manufacturing operation in Rensselaer, New York. Previously, he had served as vice president of manufacturing for Nycomed, Inc. and president of Sterling Organics. He began his career in 1975 as an engineer with Shell Chemical Company.
