 AMR EAGLE ACQUIRES 15 ADDITIONAL JETSTREAM SUPER 31s
 WASHINGTON, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- British Aerospace, Inc.,


announced today that AMR Eagle Inc., part of American Airlines, will acquire 15 additional Jetstream Super 31s. First deliveries will begin immediately. This will bring the AMR fleet of Jetstream Super 31s to 75, the largest single fleet in the world. AMR also holds options on 50 of the larger 29-seat Jetstream 41s.
 The Jetstream Super 31 has proven to be a popular aircraft with Eagle passengers. Robert E. Martens, AMR Eagle's president, stated "These aircraft give us a strong, competitive position. The Super 31 has become a dependable and valuable part of our fleet, helping us to provide superior service to smaller communities."
 The Jetstream Super 31 is a pressurized twin engine turboprop built to very high standards. The aircraft features a spacious cabin with large windows and stand-up headroom providing superior passenger appeal and, according to AMR Eagle, "It is the most comprehensively equipped 19-seater in service today."
 To date, 355 Jetstream 31 and Super 31 aircraft have been delivered worldwide. Two hundred forty-six Jetstreams are in airline service in the United States and Canada with 11 customer airlines. The Jetstream 41 is currently undergoing certification flying and first deliveries are planned for the fourth quarter of 1992.
