AMPAL Announces Dell Ventures' Investment in XACCT.

 (NASDAQ:DELL), has made a strategic investment in Ampal's investee company, XACCT Technologies Ltd. This investment was made on the same terms and as part of the previous financing round announced February 23, 2001.

XACCT will use the funds raised in this round to support its rapid expansion as it continues to offer its "Network-to-Business" (N2B N2B Not Too Bad (internet chat) (TM)) platform to Network Service Providers around the world.

"XACCT's N2B platform has strategic potential to penetrate the high-growth opportunities within the next-generation business software markets."

XACCT is a leading provider of business infrastructure software for the next-generation public network. Using this platform, Network Service Providers can implement new business models and offer high-margin enhanced services.

Ampal and its subsidiaries primarily acquire interests in businesses located in the State of Israel or that are Israel-related. Ampal's primary investment focus is the growing high-technology and communications sector.
