AML Communications Appoints New Board Member.

CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 1999--AML Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:AMLJ) Tuesday announced the appointment of Gerald M. Starek, 57, to its board of directors, expanding the board to six members.

Earlier, Starek served as president, chief executive officer and chairman of Silicon Valley Group (Nasdaq:SVGI SVGI Silicon Valley Group, Inc. (stock symbol)

), a supplier of automated wafer-processing equipment for the semiconductor industry that he founded in 1977. Silicon Valley Group reported sales of $608.6 million for its fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 1998.
