AMICAS/PEERVUE PARTNER FOR TEACHING FILE SOLUTION.
CaseVue compliments the radiologist's workflow and enables the simple selection of key images and the rapid authoring of teaching files directly from the AMICAS PACS workstation. In one click, users can launch an embedded AMICAS Vision Series PACS viewer to view corresponding studies in PACS directly from caseVue teaching files.
This integrated top-of-the-line teaching file support system has been successfully deployed at Delnor-Community Hospital, which has been credited with some of the highest patient and physician satisfaction scores in the nation. Located in Geneva, Illinois, Delnor has received awards for being in the top 10 percent nationally for quality of care, emergency care, and surgery.
"AMICAS has demonstrated its leadership through industry leading workflow oriented image and information management solutions that empower healthcare organizations to provide high quality patient care," said Kyle Lawton, peerVue CEO. "We are extremely pleased that AMICAS, a company that has led the industry with Web-based PACS and other important innovations, has chosen to offer the peerVue technology to AMICAS customers, thereby extending peerVue's ability to deliver solutions that improve patient care."
"Based on input from our Medical and Technical Advisory Boards, we believe our customers will benefit from both the value of a solution such as caseVue as well as the ease of access and use derived from the tight integration," said Catherine Donohue, director of PACS product management at AMICAS.
Delnor will implement the caseVue solution with integration to their AMICAS PACS to enable filmless teaching file functionality, and to facilitate the education of colleagues and residents by drawing on the subspecialty expertise available within Delnor.
"With caseVue's seamless integration with AMICAS, the radiologist can save a case as a teaching file for later recall and continue reading without interrupting the interpretation process," said Craig Nasralla, M.D., Staff Radiologist at Delnor-Community Hospital.
"As a central teaching file repository, cases are instantaneously available 24/7 to any radiologist without having to look for them in the file room, as done prior to caseVue," said Brian Daily, PACS administrator at Delnor-Community Hospital.
In addition to the caseVue partnership, AMICAS and peerVue are collaborating on peerVue's next niche solution, qaVue(TM), which focuses on Interpretation Quality Management and Peer-Review.
