AMI Rebuts False Information Flouted by Today Tonight.

SYDNEY, Australia -- AMI (OTCBB:AVMD), a leading provider of treatments for erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation in Australia, issues the following statement in response to allegations made by Today Tonight:

A series of misleading and false reports by Channel Seven's Today Tonight program have continued to misinform patients and the public about the Advanced Medical Institute's services for people suffering impotence, premature ejaculation and prostate problems.

A central component of Today Tonight's program is its claim that AMI's treatments are funded through Medicare. All AMI patients are consulted as private patients and no government funding is received by AMI in relation to its treatments. Not only does AMI not receive government funding for its able bodied patients, AMI is also providing free treatment to patients who have spinal cord injuries without any government funding or support.

AMI is the first medical company in the world to establish a clinic devoted to restoring sexual health in men who have sustained a spinal cord injury. AMI-SCI is the not-for-profit division of AMI that provides treatment options to men who have sustained a spinal cord injury and wish to make an informed decision about resuming their sex lives.

Today Tonight's program, aired on Friday, June 8, also suggested that AMI's patients did not consult a doctor. All AMI patients are consulted by a doctor and AMI's clinics are operated in accordance with all legal requirements.

All components of AMI recommended treatments have been approved by the TGA and all patient prescriptions are provided in full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

The patient that featured in the programme complained of an irritated nose - a potential side affect which afflicts a limited number of patients and is fully disclosed in the information package given by AMI to patients.

It is not unusual for medications to result in limited side affects for patients. The potential side affects from AMI's treatments are less than those indicated with competing drugs. Other marketed drugs warn of side affects including flushing, vomiting, and vision impairment (which may preventing a person from driving and in extreme cases has been claimed to cause blindness).

Today Tonight also continues to claim the Heart Check clinics are owned by AMI, which is not true, even though Today Tonight has been put on notice that such statements are false with the actual ownership of the businesses being a matter of public record.
