Albert has a new advanced search solution for the Lotus Domino platform AMI Discovery for Lotus Domino, integrates with existing Domino deployments and replaces the standard Domino search functionality to offer users and administrators a number of benefits: Queries can be entered in natural language, allowing users to phrase searches in the same way they would ask a friend or colleague. There is no need for users to learn complex boolean operators such as AND, NOT or ACCRUE, Also there is no change to the Notes user-interface, therefore no new application for users to learn

The application is able to cope with spelling mistakes and typographical errors, increasing search success

* AMI Discovery deals with poorly phrased queries by creating several hypotheses that triangulate around the most relevant results

* A profile of the user is created, including details of their native language, so that results are personalised and weighted in favour of a user's language

* The system is self-teaching in that it automatically picks up the vocabulary and word-relationships used in individual organisations.

* Administrators can free up Domino server CPU and disk resources from searching

* A central Albert search index can provide support for multiple databases spread across multiple servers
