Eduard Vinaricky, Ph.D., a researcher at AMI DODUCO, today received Germany's prestigious Albert Keil Prize here at the Albert Keil Contact Seminar.

The award, named after a German pioneer in electrical contacts, is given every two years by the German Association of Electrical, Electronic and Information Technology in recognition of outstanding research achievements in the field of electrical contacts.

Vinaricky received the award for lifetime research and application engineering achievements, including important work and patents in the areas of refractory contact materials, silver metal oxides and silver graphite. Vinaricky earned his degree in physics from the University of Karlsruhe in 1963 and his doctoral degree in technical sciences in 1994 from Technical University, Vienna, Austria.

His career at AMI DODUCO began in 1964.
