AMFM Names Thomas Mooney Market Controller for Its Minneapolis/St. Paul Station Group.

Thomas Joseph Mooney (December 8, 1882–March 6, 1942) was an American labor leader in San Francisco, who famously spent 22½ years in prison for a crime he did not commit, the Preparedness Day Bombing of 1916.

Mr. Mooney will be responsible for managing the financial accounting and reporting functions for the market including strategic analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

Mr. Mooney joined AMFM in January 1997 following AMFM's acquisition of KQQL-FM and WLOL-FM (formerly WRQC-FM) from Colfax Communication where he served as Group Controller for Colfax's Minneapolis, Washington D.C. and Phoenix station groups. From 1981 through 1992, Mr. Mooney served as Controller/Chief Financial Officer for a retail grocer in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. A St. Paul St. Paul

 and earned his CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000.  in 1984.
