During her tenure at KKBT, Ms. Leichter helped establish `The Beat' as one of the highest billing stations in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. , achieving top ten rankings in 1997 and 1998, including a #1 ranking among all Urban-formatted stations in America. Prior to KKBT, Ms. Leichter served as the Director of Sales for KZLA-FM and KLAC-AM in Los Angeles. Her other station and sales management experience includes positions with KQLZ-FM (Pirate Radio), KTWV-FM (The Wave) and KMET-FM, all in Los Angeles. Ms. Leichter earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Pennsylvania State University Pennsylvania State University, main campus at University Park, State College; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1855, opened 1859 as Farmers' High School. .

Upon completion of announced transactions, AMFM will own five FM and two AM stations in Los Angeles including KKBT-FM `The Beat', KCMG-FM `Mega 100', KYSR-FM `Star 98.7', KBIG-FM, KOST-FM, KLAC-AM and KFI-AM.
