AMFM Names John Fullam Market Executive Vice President for New York.

Andrew Rosen Named Senior VP of Sales for the New York Market

AMFM Inc. (NYSE: AFM) announced today that John Fullam has been named to the newly created position of Market Executive Vice President for the Company's New York station group. Reporting directly to Ken O'Keefe, Chief Operating Officer of AMFM Radio Group, Mr. Fullam will have ultimate responsibility for each AMFM station in the market, the nation's second largest market when ranked by revenue, with a primary emphasis on maximizing the cluster opportunity through top-line growth, ratings performance, expense control and the recruitment of on-air talent and operations personnel. Additionally, AMFM today named Andrew Rosen to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Sales for the New York market, reporting directly to John Fullam. The appointments are effective immediately.

Mr. Fullam, a radio broadcasting industry leader, also currently serves as Senior Vice President, Regional Operations, overseeing AMFM station operations in New York, Long Island, Detroit and Washington, D.C. Mr. Fullam is best known for helping engineer the worst-to-first turnaround of WKTU-FM in New York and, more recently, the revitalization of WHTZ-FM "Z100" to become America's most listened-to radio station with 2.5 million listeners weekly. A 25-year industry veteran, he formerly managed five Detroit radio stations for AMFM's predecessor company, Evergreen Media. His early experience includes various radio management positions in Connecticut. He holds a Masters in Business Administration and currently serves on the Board of Directors for both the New York Market Radio Association and the Arbitron Rating Advisory Council.

Mr. Rosen will add the Senior VP of Sales for New York position to his current corporate responsibilities as Regional Vice President of Sales. From 1997 through 1998, Mr. Rosen was the General Sales Manager for WHTZ-FM "Z-100" in New York City where he directed an 88% revenue increase over a one-year period and generated $2 million of new non-traditional revenue. Prior to Z-100, Mr. Rosen served for ten years as the Vice President at Eastman Radio, a division of the Katz Radio Group. Mr. Rosen began his career as an Account Executive at WINE-FM in Danbury, Connecticut. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii.
