AMFM Names George Laughlin Senior Vice President of Sales for Dallas; Doug Abernethy Named Director of Sales for Dallas Station Group.

 Inc. (NYSE: AFM) elevated George Laughlin, formerly the Director of Sales for the Company's Dallas station group, to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Sales, it was announced today by Brian Ongaro, AMFM's Market Executive Vice President for Dallas. Doug Abernethy, currently General Sales Manager for KZPS-FM and KDGE-FM was named his replacement. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Reporting directly to Mr. Ongaro and working closely with the market's Director of Sales, individual station General Sales Managers and the Chancellor Marketing Group, Mr. Laughlin will direct the cluster's overall sales strategy, overseeing all aspects of inventory control, key client relationships and sales personnel recruitment and development.

For the past year, Mr. Laughlin has been the Director of Sales for AMFM's Dallas station group. During the seven years prior, he held several positions at AMFM's KHKS-FM in Dallas, most recently as General Sales Manager, and for the last three of these seven years he also served as General Sales Manager for KBFB-FM also in Dallas. Mr. Laughlin's other radio broadcasting experience includes positions with WJBO-AM and WFMF-FM in Baton Rouge. Mr. Laughlin earned a bachelor's degree in Advertising and Marketing from Louisiana State University.

Mr. Abernethy joined AMFM in 1998 as General Sales Manager of KZPS-FM and KDGE-FM in Dallas. Prior to joining AMFM, Mr. Abernethy served as Corporate Sales Coordinator for Radio One in Washington D.C. where he directed the sales effort for the Company's 13 stations in five markets. From 1995 through 1996, Mr. Abernethy served as General Manager for KONO-AM/FM in San Antonio. His other sales experience includes positions with WDSY-FM, WXRB-FM and WEEP-AM in Pittsburgh, WHFS-FM in Washington D.C. and WFLA WFLA - Warfighting Lens Analysis-AM and WFLZ-FM in Tampa. Mr. Abernethy earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

In Dallas, AMFM owns or operates KHKS-FM, KZPS-FM, KDGE-FM, KSKY-AM, KTXQ-FM and KFBF-FM.
