The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) is an independent union that represents aircraft maintenance employees of commercial airlines in the United States. WHAT: The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) will provide
    a courtesy room near the Minneapolis-St. Paul International
    Airport where interested media representatives can receive
    periodic updates from AMFA officials on down-to-the-wire
    negotiations with Northwest Airlines. There may also be an AMFA
    press conference on the outcome of the negotiations. Free coffee,
    along with vending machines and rest rooms, will be available.

WHERE: 3050 Metro Drive, Bloomington, Minnesota 55425, Park at front
    (south) entrance, enter the building and walk downstairs to the
    courtesy waiting area. This is the building where AMFA Region II
    offices are also located in room 216.

WHEN: Friday, August 19, 2005. 5:00 p.m. - midnight. (Current
    last-ditch negotiations will result in a tentative agreement with
    Northwest or a strike by AMFA mechanics, cleaners and custodians
    that could begin at 11:01 p.m. Central time on August 19.)
