Company Nominated for ACG's 2007 National Growth Award

PAOLI, Pa. -- AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE:AME) received the 2006 Outstanding Corporate Growth Award from the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Philadelphia. The award was presented to AMETEK Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Frank S. Hermance at the 2006 M&A East Conference, held October 10-11, 2006, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Mr. Hermance also accepted the Chapter's nomination for the National Outstanding Corporate Growth Award to be presented in May 2007.
